Travelogue May 19th - Iceland

Presenters Ed Siems and Teresa Vokoun will share their "island" experience.

May ~Ed Siems and Teresa Vokoun will be the guest presenters on May 19th, 5:00pm, with their photos from Iceland. Their trip was during the month of May in 2012 and offered them a temperate climate. The country is an island boasting environmental extremes between glaciers and volcanoes. The native language is “Old Norseman” or Icelandic. Even with the different language, Vokoun said they didn’t feel they stood out at all. She said they were fascinated by the people and will have photos featuring Icelanders along with churches, landscapes, glaciers, birds and horses. Vokoun said that Iceland is very careful about what is imported. Their environment needs to be protected from outside disease. She said they’re susceptible to whatever is brought in.
