Travelogue Apr. 21 - E. Africa Safari

Garry Brandenburg will present photos from Kenya and Tanzania.

April ~Garry Brandenburg will be the guest presenter on April 21st, 5:00pm, with photos from Africa. His trip took place within the year after his retirement as Conservation Director of Marshall County. He was part of a small group of serious photographers who were guided through Southern Kenya and Northern Tanzania on their photo safari. Two questions Brandenburg still asks himself are 1) why did it take me so long to get there? and 2) when am I going back? “The thing that bites the hardest is the bug to return!” he said.

The elements of this presentation are just the “…tip of the iceberg”. Brandenburg said he kept approximately 2000 photos of his adventure, but he’ll share about 100 of his favorites for Travelogue. Scenes with the country’s five most famous animals will be included – lion, Cape buffalo, leopard, rhinoceros and African elephant. Birds, people and the environment will be artfully shown. Locations include Nairobi National Park, Amboseli National Park, and the area of Masai Mara in Kenya. In Tanzania, through the Great Rift Valley, stops were made in Tarangire National Park, at the Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti National Park and Lake Victoria.
